Google is attempting to end the seven year Perfect 10 – Google litigation by filing what we contend is a bogus sanctions motion. Google is contending that Perfect 10 failed to “identify infringements” even though we identified 110,000 of them. In fact, Perfect 10 spent over 1,000 man hours to create a 795 page copyright spreadsheet which listed 46,087 images with their copyright registration numbers and other related ownership information, a list of 2,234 DMCA notices that Perfect 10 has sent to Google, most of which Google has refused to process, a 50 gigabyte model database which provides 46,087 P10 Images with their copyright registration numbers, and 110,000 infringing images, each with three URLs. For that enormous effort, Google claims that Perfect 10 should be severely sanctioned. To see Perfect 10’s opposition to Google’s motion, click here.
